Helllloooooo ladies! I'm back with my April favorites, featuring a lot of Gerard Cosmetics/Whitening Lightning products!
Let's start with the face products.
My favorite foundation has been the Elf Flawless Finish Foundation. For only $6, you really can't beat the price. It works better than most of my higher end products, and this is easily accessible at your local drugstore, Target, or online!
I use the shades Buff and Sand, because Buff is too dark for me if I'm not super tan and Sand is too light for me when I'm beginning to get a tan (And I've been using a self-tanner so I'm gradually getting some color). I use half a pump of each and mix it together for my perfect shade.
I just recently purchased Sand online, and I noticed that that they added directions and information onto the back of the bottle. The bottle is glass, but I've dropped this on my vanity and floor and I really don't see any problems with it breaking. I love how sleek it looks with the matte packaging.
I have been on a huge highlighter kick this month! Partly because I've been so inspired by Jaclyn Hill and her flawless looks. These have been my two favorite highlighters this past month.
I use Gerard Cosmetic's BB+ Illumination Facial Cream ($36) as a liquid highlight, either on the tops of my cheeks or mixed in with my foundation. I use a little bit of the pump because you really don't need too much, or unscrew the top and dot it on my skin. It's glittery but once you mix it in it has this pretty pearlescent sheen to your skin that just gives you this glowy kiss.
My favorite powder highlight this month was my Cindy-Lou Manizer from The Balm Cosmetics. I am a huge fan from their Mary-Lou Manizer highlight, so when I purchased this one I was definitely not disappointed.
I usually like to use a white/golden highlight but Cindy-Lou gives you a nice peachy sheen that screams summer. With a good, subtle bronzer, you'll look like a summer goddess.
Moving on to brows, I've stepped away from getting them professionally done. I was always unhappy with the shape or someone would take too much hair off, so I decided to start grooming them myself.
I was accustomed to using just a pair of tweezers, a spooly brush, and a pair of vanity scissors, but my mom got me this Lilibeth razor to try. The pack came with two and you can find them on QVC.
All you have to do is stroke this against the grain of your hair and it gives you a clean area without all the pain of tweezing. This makes it so much easier to shape your brows.
Instead of my pomade, I switched back to my Gerard Cosmetics Brow Bar to Go. I like to use the wax to shape my brows and then use an angled brush to fill them in. This gives me the most natural look for my brows.
The last couple of weeks of April I have been obsessed with bold, winged liner. I love cat eyes and how big they make my eyes look, especially how much they elongate them.
Maybelline's Eye Studio Master Precise Ink Pen Eyeliner is the best drugstore liquid liner I've ever used! It reminds me of Tarte's Lights, Camera Lashes Precision Longer Liquid Eyeliner, which is another one of my favorite liners, but Maybelline's is just a fraction of the price!
This thin, felt tip makes my cat eye routine soooooo simple and quick. I can literally be done my winged linger in about a minute. The thin tip makes it easy to flick out your wing and fill in the outline once you've got the right shape.
To match my liner, I've been using fake lashes to make my eyes look bigger too. These Ardell Demi Wispies are my favorite, everyday lash to wear. I don't even have to use mascara to blend them in with my natural lashes. I just use my Duo Dark Tone Glue and these stay on all day comfortably.
Of course for my last beauty favorites, I have to include my favorite lip combo for the month. Again, more Gerard Cosmetics! I've been lining my lips with the NYX Cosmetics Lip Liner in Nude Beige and filling them in with Gerard Cosmetic's Nude Lipstick. To complete my favorite nude lip I just top it off with Gerard's Shimmer of Hope Lip Gloss.
My very last April favorites is for your hair! I've been sticking with my Burt's Baby Bees Powder as dry shampoo! It smells sweet and gives you fuller, matte hair on your days when you don't want to wash your hair!
What were your favorites for April?
