(Sidenote: I'm sorry this is getting to you guys so late. I had stayed up until 3 in the morning writing this post, and it never saved without me knowing. When I went to post, it wasn't there and I was about to cry I was so tired.)
Happy September! Who else thought that this summer just flew by?
While I'm sad to see the summer go, I'm excited for the upcoming academic year. Not to mention, the return of fall TV. Here's my master post of my favorites, returning shows, and new series premieres. Let me know what you guys are excited to watch!
My Favorites:
1. Fresh Off The Boat | September 22
A Taiwanese family deal with culture shock after moving from Washington, D.C., to Orlando during the '90s.
2. Last Man Standing | September 25
A manly sporting-goods store marketing boss decides to spend more time at home with his daughters.
3. Bones | October 1
Forensic anthropologist Temperance "Bones" Brennan and her team work with the FBI to solve murders by identifying victims from their remains in a procedural series inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and novelist Kathy Reichs.
4. The Walking Dead | October 11
A horror drama following the survivors of an apocalyptic holocaust who are searching for a safe haven while being tracked and menaced by zombies. Adapted from a comic-book series.
5. Talking Dead | October 11
Guests chat about episodes of the zombie chiller "The Walking Dead."
Returning Shows:
1. Hand of God | September 4
A vengeance-seeking judge relies on messages from God to right injustices done to his family.
2. You're the Worst | September 9
Two anti-relationship people find themselves in a relationship together.
3. The Middle | September 23
A sitcom about a working-class family in the U.S. heartland follows the daily strife of frazzled mom Frankie who, alongside her husband, raises their three kids, the youngest being an outcast at school because of his unusual behavior.
4. American Horror Story: Hotel | October 7
A horror stories set in an eerie hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
5. Mom | November 5
A comedy centering on a newly sober single mother trying to raise two children while dealing with her overly critical mother and working as a waitress in Napa Valley.
Series Premieres:
1. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert | September 8
Stephen Colbert hosts a late-night talk show.
2. The Bastard Executioner | September 15
Following the adventures of a warrior knight during the Middle Ages.
3. Blindspot | September 21
An unidentified woman with amnesia is found covered in tattoos, and the FBI soon realize that each mark on her body reveals a crime to be solved.
4. Grandfathered | September 29
Life changes for a womanizing bachelor who learns that he fathered a son who in turn has a daughter of his own.
5. The Grinder | September 29
Sitcom about a popular TV lawyer whose drama series ends, so he returns to his hometown to work in the family law firm, where he squares off with his younger brother.
6. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend | October 12
A woman gives up her prestigious job and upscale Manhattan apartment to search for love in California.
