I am a Valentine’s Day romantic sucker. I live for it. I live for the cute pictures of balloons and flowers and homemade gifts. I live for thoughtful gestures. I live for a day to tell someone that you love them or care about them (and all days after that).
And I am officially done with pretending to be one of those relaxed girls who doesn't give a damn about Valentine's Day.
No, I do not think that you should have to spend an exuberant amount of money on your significant other just to prove that you love them.
I just want little notes on Post-Its and handwritten cards, time to spend with each other. Guys, if your girl is like me where she does like Valentine's Day, you do not have to go out and buy her expensive gifts like jewelry or shoes or a three-course dinner.
Today I'm sharing the best gift ideas on Pinterest that you can do with things around your house or go to the craft store and not even break the bank as well as a free download for a mini coupon book - just to make your significant other smile and know that they are loved and being thought of.
1. Post It Note Message
This takes about ten minutes to write out and five minutes to put up and they will love this. Put it on their bathroom mirror as a morning surprise or on their bedroom door - anywhere they can see it and be surprised!
2. Teddy Gram
This is one of the cutest gift ideas I found on Pinterest - even if I hate candy hearts! But how easy is it to buy a box of candy hearts, a package of Teddy Grahams and a can of frosting?
3. Pizza Box
If you're dating anyone who's like me and has an emotional affair with pizza, this free printable is perfect. Just grab some card stock and use the printable to create these awesome little Valentine box. The best way to a person's heart is through their stomach, right?
4. Why I Love You Jar
These are great little reminders for why you love them not just on Valentine's Day, but for every day. They'll appreciate the gesture and you can do as many as you want - don't just limit yourself to 52.
5. I Love You Coupon Book
I think coupon books are the cutest DIY's and I created these ones for you guys! They don't have to be for just Valentine's Day either - use them for birthdays, anniversaries, or just any day you want to show your significant other that you're thinking of them. Just print them out, use a hole punch on the tab to tie them together or use a stapler for a mini coupon book.
