Best 4 Products for Dry Winter Skin!
2:25 PM
Happy Monday and Martin Luther King Day!
I woke up today with a super dry patch on my chin (Typical morning for me, bleh). I've always had weird, sensitive skin, from eczema to not being able to wear any kind of cheap jewelry without those green rings left behind on my fingers or ears. When winter rolls around, my skin gets even more dry and I can't stand it! These are the 4 products I've found to be the most effective for super dry skin.
- Dermasil Dry Skin Treatment Original Lotion: I picked this up at the drugstore to help soothe my eczema, and this is just about the only lotion that actually helps my skin! It's thick but still creamy and lightweight enough for me to use on a daily basis without feeling too sticky and doesn't give me that oily residue after it's soaked in. I use it on any dry patches on my face as well as anywhere else I'm feeling particularly dry and itchy, usually on my elbows and hands.
- Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter: I picked this bad boy up when I was grocery shopping! I never knew TJ sold lotions and body butters! I got this around Christmas time, and it was about $6, the cheapest I've ever seen a body butter. It claims: "Luxurious body butter made with Coconut Oil, Shea Butter & Vitamin E" and I stand by it 100%. I have one of Josie Maran's body butter and while I love it, it's way too expensive for me to buy every couple of months and it's a little too greasy to use on my eczema. TJ's body butter is thick and just a little dab hydrates my skin perfectly. I use this every time I get out of the shower, and within just a couple of use's I definitely noticed a difference on my skin.
- Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion: This is definitely the priciest of my best winter dry skin products, but this is my skin care Holy Grail product! I've used this for three years now, and this is my fourth bottle. I've always heard good reviews about this moisturizer, and you should definitely splurge on it! It's around $26-$28 depending on where you go (Sometimes I can find this at discount beauty stores where it'll be priced even cheaper). I use this twice a day with one and a half pumps after I use other skin serums and treatments, and the bottles usually last me about a year.
- Vaseline Lip Therapy Creme Brûlée for deliciously kissable lips: So this isn't completely skin care related, but it's always important to hydrate your lips! I picked this up at the travel section in Target (Heaven on Earth), and it's my favorite lip product ever! I use this for overnight renewal and every morning before I apply any kind of lipstick, lip stain, or lip gloss. Sometimes, I even use this just on its own and people have asked me what lipstick I'm wearing! You don't need this in the Creme Brûlée flavor, it comes in original and plenty of other flavors, but I really don't notice too much of a smell between each one and they all work the same. I have two of these; one for my vanity and one to keep in my makeup bag for my purse every day! It's always a good idea to have it on you at all times!
Have a wonderful week!
