Avocado Mask | DIY

We're all familiar with magazines, doctors, and our mothers telling us that drinking plenty of water and eating the right foods will not only do our bodies good, but also our skin. Turns out, they're right. However, you don't always have to eat those foods; there are alternatives.

Say, a DIY avocado mask you can make in your kitchen. It only requires two other ingredients, and I guarantee you already have them in your pantry.

Masks can get crazy expensive at stores like Lush or Sephora, and while some are totally worth it, you don't always have to be luxe just to pamper yourself.

Avocados are already a super food and you should definitely incorporate them into your diet if you aren't already eating them. However, they're thought to help fight wrinkles and give you a glowing complexion, so why not put them on your face?

DIY Avocado Mask

Ingredients:
Half of an avocado
1 ripe banana
1/2 - 1 tbsp olive oil

1. Cube half of an avocado and dump into a bowl.
2. Add in banana and olive oil.
3. Mash with a fork until you have a pudding consistency.

And that's it! Apply to a clean face, careful to avoid your eyes, nose and mouth. I like to leave my masks on for around 10-15 minutes before washing off with warm water. Pat your face dry and apply your favorite moisturizer!
