The Christmas Tag {Blogmas Day 9}

9:00 AM

Today I'm doing the Christmas tag, and I tag all of you!

1. What is your favorite Christmas film?
It definitely has to be The Nightmare Before Christmas, of course. I love to watch it on Christmas Eve and Christmas night after the festivities die down.

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
A particular Christmas doesn't come to mind, but we've had plenty in New Jersey.

3. Where do you usually spend your holiday?
Christmas is usually spent at home and everyone comes to our house to celebrate.

4. What is your favorite Christmas song?
Yule Shoot Your Eye Out by Fall Out Boy or Flurries by August Burns Red. I love listening to alternative music during Christmas time.

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
Growing up we were allowed one present on Christmas Eve right before we went to mass. However, it's funny that most of my presents are received before or after Christmas now :)

6. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
Rudolph, Dasher, Prancer, Dancer, Donner ... I know I am missing some, right? Clearly I don't know all of them.

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
Despite being an adult, I still love making "Santa" cookies every year. I also have a nephew so Christmas is so much more fun when there's a kid in the house again to celebrate with. It's going to be even better with two once my niece is born.

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
Fake! My dad and brother are both allergic so we've always had a fake tree, but it's great because Mom always puts it up the day after Thanksgiving so we can enjoy it longer. This year we got a flocked one!

9. What is your all-time favorite holiday food/sweet treat?
Oh there's sooooooo many! My absolutely favorite are the cookies we made for Santa, which I still continue to make every Christmas Eve! They're my mom's almond crescent cookies are so buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
I honestly love giving gifts waaaaaay better than receiving. I may not be the best gift-giver but I do love shopping for others!

11. What is the best Christmas gift you've ever received?
The best gift I've ever received ... I'd have to say it was a set of prints from my favorite artist, Cam Rackam. I received his Pantheon collection and I absolutely adore them. They hang above my bed.

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
I've always said I want to visit Disneyland during their fall and winter celebrations, mainly because they look so festive and I've never been before!

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
Definitely a pro-present wrapper! It's my favorite thing about the holidays. Throughout the month of December, my mom and I like to divide all the presents into their individual piles and choose which paper they receive, because we buy wrapping paper specifically for each person. We're crazy lol!

14. Most memorable holiday moment?
The family's first Christmas with my nephew! He wasn't even a month old but we were so excited to have a baby in the house and especially during the holidays.

15. What made you realize the truth about Santa?
I was about eight-years-old and I asked my mom if Santa was real and that I wanted the truth from her ... I was so upset when she told me that I exclaimed, "What's next you're going to tell me that the Easter Bunny isn't real?!" Needless to say she held off on that one.

16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I don't make resolutions per say ... although I do like to set certain attainable goals. I do have a tradition of writing down things I'm going to let go and burning them on New Year's Eve.

17. What makes the holidays special for you?
Honestly, the best part of the holidays is having my nephew around. And how special is it that my niece will be born in just a few short weeks! Christmas has always been really special, but when you have little ones running around you have a whole new perspective on the meaning of Christmas.

If you do the Christmas tag, make sure you leave it in the comments and let me know!
